Justin was kind enough to host chair yoga with our residents in Lantana on this absolutely beautiful day!

THE BACKSTORY
Justin approached me about a year ago and has consistently dedicated his time, energy, and effort to our residents out of the kindness of his heart and it is truly remarkable to see the positive impact that he has had by hosting chair yoga week after week. We have seen residents who we never expected to even want to participate, step up and become leaders in the classes. The past year has been a wonderful journey and we are so truly blessed by Justin’s contributions to our community.
WHAT IS CHAIR YOGA?
Chair yoga is exactly what the name suggests. It is yoga that is conducted sitting on a chair and/or using a chair for balance.
The exercises can sometimes be simple and not push people far out of their comfort zone. There are more involved routines out there too, ones that can be challenging.
WHY WE OFFER CHAIR YOGA
Chair yoga safely improves senior health. Yoga is an excellent way for older adults to loosen and stretch painful muscles, reduce stress, and improve circulation. It also reduces anxiety, helps lower blood pressure, protects joints, and builds strength and balance.
